Kettlebell Class

Ages 16 years & up
Looking for a group setting to get you motivated and offer you support as we experience bootcamp concepts of interval training, speed, and strength training with the use of Kettlebells. Choose a challenging weight and give it all you got as we utilize the kettlebells to get us stronger, faster, and leaner. Class will be held outdoors and/or indoors throughout the fall.

Turbulence Training/CROSSFIT
(TT/XFit Mix)
Ages 14 years & up

Turbulence training is the combination of strength training and fat burning interval training to help you get more results in less time. Turbulence Training is the busy lifestyle-solution for men and women who are real people and want real results. Class will use various strength training tools both inside and outside. Instructed by Christi Smith.

Biggest Loser Park District Style
Meet with other "Loser" hopefuls to workout, discuss dietary habits and learn a new way of living.
Will meet every other Wednesday starting Jan 2012.



Fun with Running Camp
::Long term athletic development is the goal.  Building solid retention, a solid foundation for growth and a solid concept for understanding training. 

::Sprinting is all about force production and application. Training protocols are based around building each individual athlete to procuce MAXIMUM FORCE TO THE GROUND.

::The pygmalion effect is used....Building better self esteem, confidence and an all-around stronger athlete by placing positive and constructive expectations on each athlete.

Ages 4th-8th grades

Learn the fundamentals of form, shoes, attire, nutrition, endurance, goal setting, stretching and cross-training. Running is a lifelong skill that will give you many benefits throughout your life. This five-week program will help participants prepare for the Firefly 5K in August (participants will receive free entry into the Firefly 5K). Have fun with fitness and achieve new goals in this great program. Parent volunteers welcome. Combine Youth Sports Yoga with Fun with Running for a great overall workout and save 20%. Instructed by Christi Smith.

Youth Sports Yoga
Ages 4th-8th grades

Does your child train hard? Does he/she need something new, fun, yet still challenging? Yoga makes a perfect match for the student/athlete who needs improvement in breathing, flexibility, core strength, balance and mental focus. As a result, injuries will be minimal and with more agility and mobility, they will be able to perform more efficiently. This class is for student/athletes of all levels. Yoga For Champions
Yoga makes a great companion for athletes of all sports. Yoga can help you develop better breathing techniques while it improves balance, flexibility, core strength and endurance. Join us as we cross-train with a new form of resistance training for the body that will also help reduce injury, relieve training boredom and aid in recovery from hard aerobic or strength workouts. All training levels welcome. Instructed by Christi Smith.
